The 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg is seeking to appoint an internationally recognised and highly distinguished academic with proven high-level performance in research and teaching. The position holder represents the subject of Political Science with a specialisation in International Relations in both research and teaching.

A key requirement is that the candidate should have undertaken research with an interpretative focus. Teaching and research should focus on the analysis of rationalities and strategies pursued by national, transnational and international actors in dealing with conflicts of order. The entire spectrum of security policy issues is to be taken into account, namely those of interest in Europe and in an increasingly multipolar world. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the causes of these conflicts and to analyse various approaches and measures for overcoming them. Questions of security and resilience are to be addressed from a systemic and integrating perspective, as a basis for high-quality knowledge transfer.

Key selection criteria are high-ranking, international publications and extensive success in obtaining third-party funding. Further selection criteria are international experience in research and teaching, innovative teaching formats and academic awards. The ability and willingness to participate in academic self-administration and digital teaching are required. The professorship is based at the Institute of Social Sciences. The candidate is expected to collaborate with the Institute and with some of the research institutes and interdisciplinary centres of the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏.

Teaching responsibilities include training in the field of International Relations as part of the Institute's Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, the teachers training and in Political Science as minor subject.

In addition to the general requirements under public service law, the prerequisites for employment pursuant to Art. 57 Para. 1 BayHIG are a completed university degree, pedagogical aptitude, and the special aptitude for academic work typically demonstrated by the quality of doctorate, as well as additional academic achievement through a habilitation or equivalent qualification, which may have been achieved outside of the university sector or through a junior professorship. Leadership of a junior research group is considered an equivalent academic achievement under the conditions specified in Art. 98 Para 10 Sentence 5 BayHIG.

Appointment as a public servant can only take place so long as one is not over 52 years of age. Otherwise, employment is possible within the framework of an employment contract under private law.
