For more than 35 years, the ISLA Institute of Iberian and Latin American Studies has been connecting and promoting in an interdisciplinary way the various research and learning-teaching projects regarding the Iberian Peninsula and the Americas (with consideration of Creole and Lusophone African Cultures and Societies) at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg. Along with individual and collective research projects and the dedicated promotion of young researchers ('Junges ISLA'), the Institute’s activities and channels include the established ' Mesa Redonda' publication series, the international ‘Augsburg 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 Prize for Iberian and Latin American Studies’ as well as recently the transatlantic 'HORIZONTES Film Studies Network', the transdisciplinary 'Culturas Urbanas' Working Group, & cet. (see sections). Since 2023 the ISLA participates also in the research-oriented Master Program " Ibero-Romance Cultural Studies" at the 伟德国际_伟德国际1946$娱乐app游戏 of Augsburg.
